OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The GraceFull Executive Chef is a full time, exempt position who exhibits, lives and teaches the vision, mission and values of GraceFull. We are a place where people gather, eat and give back to the Littleton community. GraceFull does this through our volunteering, Grace In Action and Community programs. We love all people through a daily healthy, good meal regardless if they have the means to pay. The individual in this role must love investing in people lives through community and good healthy meals.

The Executive Chef reports to the General Manager and Owner of GraceFull Community Cafe and is responsible for the overall heart of the house operations as well as duties of executive chef. This includes but is not limited to overall operations of kitchen; menu planning and preparation; training and facilitation of volunteer staff; health code standards and cleanliness; GraceFull Foundation programs and events; and special events and catering.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 Create the best possible dining experience for all guests
 Produce high quality, healthy meals
 Responsible for visual presentation of food and correct portioning
 Create, plan, coordinate and execute a cost effective daily and weekly menu
 Manage cooking flow and schedule including effective engagement of volunteers
 Effectively communicate and educate a diverse volunteer base on basic food safety and preparation techniques
 Manage relationships with food vendors
 Purchase food, monitor food prices and manage inventory, minimize waste
 Ensure that kitchen is properly cleaned on regular schedule and all sanitary standards met
 Manage kitchen needs for rental of space and events outside of regular business hours
 Invest time in knowledge of community resources and in community partnerships
 Assist in hiring of new FOH staff
 Other duties as assigned 

SKILLS & ABILITIES
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Attention to detail: keep eyes on multiple elements: food standards, costs, safety, etc.
 Confident people skills, guest service orientation, and a sense of humor
 Outstanding time management and organizational skills, including ability to organize operational informational in spreadsheets
 Ability to self-initiate and self-direct workflow
 Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environment
 Exceptionally reliable, flexible and a team leader
 Ability to handle the following physical demands: required to stand and walk regularly, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; function in work environment that has a moderate noise level; and withstand temperature variances common to food facilities

QUALIFICATIONS
 Bachelor’s degree; or 2-3 years related culinary experience and/or training
 Commercial kitchen management experience (team of at least 5 people)
 Ability to prepare food in large quantities
 A heart and desire to serve the Littleton Community
 Food Handler certification (ServSafe)
 Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check
