The Missional Pastor is responsible for activating, coaching, training, shepherding, and mobilizing micro communities (Restore Communities) of people to be followers of Jesus that live on mission in Alton, IL and the greater St. Louis region. 45% of the role will require preaching/teaching as a member of the teaching team.

•Coaching, training, shepherding, and mobilizing micro communities (Restore Communities)

•Activate new micro-communities (Restore Communities)

•Create new missional opportunities that meet the needs of Alton, IL and the broader St. Louis community.

•Set vision for missional projects whilst mobilizing/recruiting the church community and greater Alton citizenry to participate in these.

•Work with the Senior Pastor to lead Social Justice initiatives

•Preaching (45% of the time) and Teaching in small/large group settings

•Thoughtfully engage the church and local community

•Evidence of Biblical and/or Ministry training: Certificate, BA, Th.M, M.Div. etc.

•Minimum of 1-3 years of occupational ministry experience

•Experience leading small groups

•Proven track record of building ministry alliances, para-church alliances, and/or community alliances

•Demonstrated the ability to recruit and multiply both large group gatherings and small groups

•Experience participating in Social Just initiatives preferred
