Description:

Position Summary: The Compensation and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the payroll of the organization, domestic and international, as well as all benefits.

Position Responsibilities:

Payroll:
• Routine computation of wages of all domestic and international staff
• Administer and process payroll of all domestic and international staff
• Process pension checks for all retirees
• Prepares payroll reports
• Coordinates payroll tax reporting and payments with third party processor
• Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions including salary changes and deduction changes
• Works in close collaboration with others in Personnel Ministries to process payroll and related changes
• Payroll point of contact for all staff and for Paycom

Benefits:
• Administer the organization’s benefits programs
• Work with insurance brokers
• Analyze benefits plans and policies and make recommendations based on research
• Monitor government regulations and benefits trends
• Administers benefit implementation and ongoing changes for domestic staff
• Coordinate insurance billing and records with employees, the Finance Department, and vendors
• Benefits point of contact for all staff and for benefits providers
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Skilled in administrative functions in a business setting
• Ability to structure and implement compensation and benefit packages, and measure their success
• Skilled in use of computer, computer programs and office equipment with advanced proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Working knowledge of Paycom preferred
• Working knowledge of accounting principles
• Working knowledge of government regulations related to payroll processing
• Working knowledge of tax requirements and guidelines
• Working knowledge of benefits including insurance, FSA, and retirement
• Highly detail oriented and organized with good analytical skills
• Capable of prioritizing multiple projects with good time management skills
• Takes initiative; is a creative and innovative thinker
• Able to communicate professionally in a clear, concise manner that demonstrates an understanding of the subject matter
• Flexible and adaptable to change, unexpected demands and interruptions
• Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
• Professional, pleasant and helpful attitude; welcomes answering questions and providing assistance

Education or Formal Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in business and accounting or applicable experience may be substituted for a four year degree
• Experience in payroll and benefits administration preferred
