Elizabeth Meier Thornton, PhD

Assistant Professor of Counseling

Dr. Elizabeth Meier Thornton is Assistant Professor of Counseling, and holds a PhD in counselor education and supervision from the University of the Cumberlands, a master’s degree in school counseling and clinical mental health from Denver Seminary, and a bachelor’s degree in Family Counseling from Moody Bible Institute. Meier Thornton has taught as an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary and the University of Denver and served as a research assistant for the School Counseling and Mental Health Initiative at Denver Seminary. In addition, she is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
