Advent Retreat For Pastors and Ministry Leaders
Wednesday, November 20, 2019, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Rather than “peace on earth,” the seasons of Advent and Christmas can produce stress in our souls. Instead of the joy of expectation, we are seduced into the agitation of crowds, noise, hurry, and consumerism. As pastors and faith leaders, not only are we not exempt, but we may experience even greater pressure as a result of increased levels of church or organizational responsibilities.
Possibly a day away with the Savior on a guided retreat would help provide a grounding space from which you could not only survive the holiday craziness, but thrive in holy anticipation of the glory of Christmas. Join us for this day to connect with God before leading others through the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Two brief sessions of Scriptural guidance will ground your time of silence, solitude, and rest.
This retreat is specifically designed for pastors and ministry leaders, but everyone is welcome. Prof. Howard Baker and the Soul Care Initiative team will facilitate the day.
- When: Wednesday, November 20th | 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Where: The Stone House at Mother Cabrini Shrine.
- Cost: $50 ($25 for Denver Seminary students)
- Cost covers admission, a light lunch, and an optional 30-minute session of spiritual direction with a trained, Christian spiritual director.
This retreat is sold out. We encourage you to join our other Advent Retreat happening on Friday, November 22.
