Children’s Ministry Coordinator
K-6th grade

1. Empowering parents to be the spiritual developers in the lives of their kids.
2. Connecting kids with Godly role models.
3. Teaching children God's story and how to find their role in His movement.
4. Developing the gifts within children God has placed for the building of his body.


Have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Have a genuine concern for the spiritual growth of students.
Agree with the Hope Crossing statement of faith.
Fully support Hope Crossing's vision/purposes and philosophy of ministry.
Possess the necessary training, experience and abilities needed to fulfill the assigned responsibilities.
Demonstrate a servant’s heart.
Be well connected and respected with in the church body.
Will posses the organization skills needed to efficiently execute responsibilities.


Execution of Sunday morning Kids programming with excellence (0-6th grade).
Pastoral responsibilities to team members. Shepherd your team.
Recruit, train, deploy, and nurture your team.
Develop and maintain safety policies which can be carried out by ministry partners and ongoing staff.
Ongoing communication with parents through monthly newsletter.
Participate in “all staff” meetings.
Train and equip parents to be spiritual directors in the lives of their children.
Facilitate relationships between students and adult congregation members.
Research and purchase or design curriculum for Sunday morning children’s programing.
Ensure execution of Sunday morning children’s programing with excellence.
Daily work duties following the Family Ministries System created along side Lead Pastor.

Reporting Relationship and Compensation:

This position reports to the Lead pastor. $1,000 a month.

Approximate Hours Break down: 13-16 hours a week
3-4 hours = Lesson prep and curriculum distribution
3-4 hours = Volunteer support and training
4 hours = Parent/Family communication, training, and encouragement.
2 hours = Faith Community / Formation Group, Leadership Meetings
