Seeking Female Roommate for Sloan’s Lake Apt
I am getting married in April and looking for a woman to take over my rent in a cute 3 bed, 1 bath four-plex a block away from the southeast corner of Sloan’s Lake. Rent is $715 and you could move in as soon as January because I have the option to move in with a friend for a few months. There is also the option of a shared storage unit for an additional $10 a month if you have a bike. The lease runs until August 2023, when you would have the option of renewing or finding another place.
The pros: The rent is really cheap for this area and our landlords are great. We are 4 blocks away from a light rail station and you can walk/jog to your heart’s content around Sloan’s Lake. We are also a block away from Odell’s and very close to Brew Culture, as well as Alamo Drafthouse and other fun restaurants. Downtown and Chick-fil-a are about a 5 minute drive away, and you would have very easy access to I-25 and 6. This is a fantastic place to live if you are a university or grad student, or beginning your career. You would be living with 2 young professionals, a teacher in her mid-20s, and a school counselor in her early 30s. They also have a very sweet and friendly dog named Milo! There is a cute front porch as well.
The room itself has a spacious closet and two large windows. You would share a washer and dryer with just the neighbors who live below in the basement. If you work from home it would be quiet throughout the day because you would be the only one here.
The cons: Unfortunately our landlords won’t allow us to have any more pets. We also don’t have central A/C, but a window unit is included in this rental. The roommates here are friendly but fairly independent – if you are looking for close community in your home, this probably isn’t it. But if you like some quiet after work/school and love the walkability of this area, it is a great place to live!
