Description:

Our Accounting Manager will manage monthly accounting processes and Accounting/AP team. They are responsible for overseeing cash accounts and disbursing funds accurately. They will ensure internal controls and financial policies are maintained. They will be responsible for the reconciliation of financial and general ledger accounts and responsible for financial reporting preparation and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Every Home for Christ.
  • Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, Every Home for Christ vision statement, Every Home for Christ statement of faith, Every Home for Christ’s Employee standards and policies, Every Home for Christ’s Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
  • Fosters a culture of support and strong relational connections throughout the organization
  • Responsible for the successful execution of accounting functions and service department strategic goals, as determined by leadership
  • Responsible for ensuring proper accounting/finance controls are in place and followed
  • Manages the monthly close process.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial and account information
  • Oversee accounts payable and income processing process and functions
  • Reviews all journal entries in general ledger and credit batches
  • Responsible for researching and clearing all suspense, unresolved items, and prepaid items
  • Conducts cash analysis and banking functions
  • Responsible for disbursement of funds
  • Maintains chart of accounts in the financial software
  • Responsible for the maintenance of company credit cards, managing the vendor relationship and approving new vendors
  • Responsible for maintaining company vehicle files
  • Reconcile 941 and SOD quarterly reports to general ledger
  • Responsible for the care and development of downline staff
  • Responsible for performing annual plan performance reviews (PPRs) with downline staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Attends and participates in a local church
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience: at least 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting and1-2 years of leading others effectively
  • Believes strongly in the mission and strategy of Every Home for Christ
  • Possess strong passion for evangelism, discipleship, prayer
  • Excellent in character, stewardship of calling, in relationships, communications and in skill
  • Unquestionable financial integrity/stewardship
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and nonverbal communication
  • High level of respect and understanding of cultural values/functions throughout Every Home for Christ
  • Requires reasonable tact, a high level of discretion, a controlled level of self-expression and a growing knowledge of the ministry, history, and vision of Every Home for Christ.
  • Ability to be flexible and customer service oriented under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times regarding discussion with others on the functions and daily tasks of the ministry
  • Strong knowledge and hands on skills with bookkeeping, accounting and financial concepts
  • Strong time management
  • High level of organization and accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to problem solve, implement effective and correct solutions
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continual incremental process improvement

  • Strong servant leadership skills that are in line with the values of the ministry
