The work in addictions counseling at Centennial is an extremely rewarding position as we see lives transformed daily through Harm Reduction treatment and counseling.  Most patients are dual diagnosis which means a counselor gets a complete education in terms of dealing with all manner of diagnoses and treatment plans.  And, as most people shy away from addictions counseling, it is actually one which provides the opportunity for dealing with the personal issues which often underlie addictions, whether background or injury.  The job involves seeing clients daily and doing clinical work providing counseling techniques learned in school and applied to daily life. This position provides 40 hours per week toward licensure as well as free supervision.  The LPC and LAC can both be achieved in a minimal amount of time. LPCC or CAS required with DORA
