Administrative Assistant – Operations

Salary/Range: $19/hour to $21/hour, based on experience
Greenwood Village, CO


  • Support all Departments in Operational activities, including duties such as:
    •  Facilitate ministry activities in myGreenwood (Greenwood Community Church’s database system) with ongoing education to enhance ministry tools
    • Manage updates to myGreenwood (editing profiles, group rosters, etc.)
    • Build forms in myGreenwood for use community-wide
    • Assisting with and coordinating travel arrangements, as needed
    • Supply ordering and distribution for ministerial functions and departments
    • Master calendar management for department and ministerial functions in coordination especially with the Director of Operations, Director of Communications and Facilities Manager
    • Event planning including, but not limited to, events such as: staff and elder retreats, Presbytery hosting, staff parties, various ministerial events and other internal and external events
    • Catering and/or food ordering for departmental and ministerial activities
  • Front Desk and Operations Support, including duties such as:
    • Provide back-up support to Administrative Assistant of Database Management in front office support duties
    • Assist with walk-in visitors
    • Provide technical assistance as needed for congregation and staff members
  • Training, including duties such as:
    • Training staff on uses of the database and uses within their area of responsibility or ministry (groups, volunteer schedules, process queues, check-in, etc.)
    • Training volunteer teams who may utilize the database intermittently
  • Other duties, including but not limited to:
    • Complete expense reports as requested for various pastoral positions
    • Coordination with the Director of Operations and Facilities Manager to support outside groups in usage of facilities
    • Assist Director of Communications with editing and proofreading of material
    • Support of mission trip activities such as travel arrangements and tracking of various deadlines and documents
    • Logistical support of funerals hosted onsite, including coordination with families and staff members involved
    • Occasional support may be requested for church-sponsored events on days outside of the typical work schedule for this position
    • Other related duties as assigned by Direct Report and/or member of administration

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask
  • Ability to effectively interact with various teams and individuals



  • Minimum 3 years experience working with an administrative team in a support role
  • Event planning experience 


Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to lift up to 15 lbs on occasion (supply boxes, acquiring materials for various events and functions, catering/food orders, etc)
  • May be required to drive to pick up supplies, materials, food, etc. for various events and internal needs
