Admission Coordinator
ROLE SUMMARY
This position offices in-person.
The Admission Coordinator is an ambassador of Valor Christian High School possessing a vast understanding of our mission, vision, and community. Since the admission process is vital to ensure that future generations of parents and students continue to fill our hallways and grace our campus, the Admission Coordinator should have an exceptional demeanor and personality that conveys warmth and Christian character reflective of our school.
The Admission Coordinator is responsible for shepherding Valor’s commitment to fill our school with well-aligned students who desire a unique college preparatory high school education based on a vision that values biblical principles and emphasizes the highest level of academic, artistic, athletic, and co-curricular achievement. From the point of the first contact through the final decision, the ideal candidate for the Admission Coordinator role will coordinate and support Valor admission processes, and procedures, while delivering exceptional customer service and excellent customer relations through timely, effective communications. In addition, the Admission Coordinator will be responsible for managing the relationships, recruitment, and communication with assigned middle schools and homeschool families.
The Admission Coordinator will serve under the direction of the Director of Admission and the Lead Admission Coordinator. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate flexibility and maintain a positive attitude while working closely with other team members and prospective families.

Provide Exceptional Customer Service to Prospective Families
- Highlight and fully utilize the school’s vision and mission to attract, enroll and retain mission appropriate, culturally aligned students
- Provide exceptional customer service while developing relationships with all prospective students and their families
- Coordinate and attend High School Fairs at local Middle Schools
- Follow up on leads of prospective students from Middle School coaches and Summer Art and Athletic Camp Participants with an invitation to explore Valor
- In collaboration with the Valor Marketing and Communications Department and the Community Events Manager, showcase Valor via open houses, special events and admission-related activities
- Give tours of the campus
Coordinate all Admission Office Relationships and Functions from Inquiry to Enrollment
- Develop and steward relationships with prospective students and families
- Showcase Valor via open houses, events, activities, Shadow Days and tours
- Manage the interview and assessment of prospective students and families upon completion of the application process
- Independently review, assess and accept fully-qualified, mission appropriate applicants
- Provide direction and collaboration during the enrollment process
- Serve as a key business resource and subject matter expert on the development of admission processes and programs that will inform and connect prospective families to the Valor community
- Highlight and fully utilize the school’s vision and mission to draw, enroll and retain mission appropriate, culturally aligned students
- Develop and cultivate relationships with feeder schools

RESULTS
The Admission Coordinator will demonstrate skill and persistence in helping Valor achieves its annual enrollment goals and tuition revenue targets. As a vital member of the Admission Team, the Admission Coordinator will help support well-functioning processes and procedures of the department. This person will be an inspiring and trusted presence to all feeder schools and their Administrators. Through effective use of the admission database system, the Admission Coordinator will provide a seamless, collaborative transitions from Admission to Enrollment and Enrollment to Counseling.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- 3+ years Admission-related experience preferred
- General administrative experience helpful
- Exceptional responsiveness in customer service
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Quick, self-motivated ability to learn new software and systems
- Proficiency with Mac computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Mail, Drive, Calendar)
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and mail merge document creation
- Preferably also familiar with Admission and Enrollment databases such as SchoolAdmin
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.
POSITION TYPE: C: Year-round schedule. 12-month Calendar. This position offices in-person.
HOURS PER WEEK: Full-time Exempt

PAY RANGE: $50,000-$55,000
