Our church strives to help people follow Jesus every day of their lives.  To help make this possible, we offer the adults of our church a variety of small groups, Bible studies, classes, men’s and women’s events, and more.  We have been blessed to experience some growth over the past few years, partly due to the large number of new housing developments surrounding the church.  As we continue to grow, we are looking for a resident who can assist our Discipleship Pastor in overseeing and managing the Adult Ministries of our church.  This position would best suit someone who desires to work in full-time, occupational ministry as a pastor of a local church.

  • Desire to work in full-time, occupational ministry in a local church
  • Healthy relationship with Jesus and commitment to personal spiritual growth
  • Willingness to learn from and submit to others on a team
  • Agreement with our beliefs and commitment to participation in overall life of VVCC
  • Emotionally mature and a teachable spirit
  • Relaxed personality and enjoy working with others in a ministry setting
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree

  • Assist Discipleship Pastor in overseeing and managing the Adult Ministries of VVCC (small groups, Bible studies, discipleship classes, men’s and women’s events, special events, etc.)
  • Help lead adult discipleship class during Wednesday night programming each semester
  • Assist in managing and scheduling Host Ministry volunteers (ushers, greeters, café workers, etc.)
  • Help recruit, disciple, and train key ministry leaders/volunteers and help coordinate annual training sessions
  • Attend weekly Sunday services and help with various ministry items (classes, baptisms, greeting, speaking, guest services, service prep, etc.)
