Salary/Range: $22/hr - $28/hr
Location
Arvada, CO
Description:

We are Tim and Hilary, and after ten years of marriage we welcomed our first children into our home in 2020 through foster care and finalized our adoption in 2021. Our kiddos are 7 (2nd grade), 10 (5th grade), 12 (7th grade), 13 (8th grade). We are looking for a young adult to help us with school pickup, childcare and homework help in our home five days a week, or as many days as possible. A typical week would be 15 hours, with occasional days off or longer days when school is out.

We follow Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles in our parenting. This research-based approach to nurturing kids “from hard places” incorporates the best trauma-informed psychology with cutting-edge neuroscience. Developed at TCU’s Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, this system has been phenomenal for our family and would be a great tool in the toolbox for anyone preparing for a helping profession. We will pay a partial hourly rate for you to undergo the initial TBRI training through Raise the Future (9 hours) along with covering any associated registration fees.

Hours: 3:00-6:00pm Monday through Friday, or as many days as you’re available. Occasional days off school (which most often fall on Fridays) could be 12:00-5:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm.
