Assistant Director of Educational Systems

Salary/Range: $38,200 - $44,600 Annually


The Assistant Director of Educational Systems operates with a continuous improvement mindset to provide administrative support and project management for academic administration and faculty of Denver Seminary. Under the Director of Institutional Research and Educational Systems, this individual leads focus groups of students and faculty, coordinates the collection and archiving of data related to the Assessment of Student Learning and Accreditation, and manages faculty data and associated reporting. The Assistant Director provides outstanding customer service to faculty and other members of the Seminary community.


Assessment, Evaluation, and Accreditation

  1. Leads focus groups of students and faculty to aid in Academic Program Review.
  2. Provides technical leadership to academic programs to develop program curricular maps and map assessment practices to curricular units.
  3. Coordinate the collection of assessment and accreditation data.
  4. Facilitates the process for end of course evaluations and associated summary reporting, scheduling MDiv Doctrinal Examinations, and scheduling and proctoring Comprehensive Examinations.
  5. Provide support for Accreditation. Compile and file reports for State Authorizations in consultation with Associate Dean.

Faculty Services

  1. Manages and improves faculty services data integrity and associated reporting, including the processes for hiring and onboarding new adjunct faculty.
  2. Maintains faculty load sheets and processes additional pay scenarios associated with faculty and adjunct faculty pay.
  3. Oversight of systems to ensure the Faculty Handbook policies and procedures are appropriately administered, including facilitating faculty observations and syllabi collection.
  4. Facilitates the process for approving graders.
  5. Contributes to revision of the faculty handbook.

Administrative Support and Project Management

  1. Provides customer service to the Seminary community (Academic Dean, Division Chairs, Department Chairs, Associate Deans, faculty, and students) with a continuous improvement mindset to evaluate and improve business process.
  2. Manages budgets associated with faculty services, professional development funds, assessment, accreditation, and evaluation.
  3. Review, revise, write, and coordinate the approval process for Educational Programs policies.



  1. Assists with project work and special events as assigned.



  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong business interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a customer service work environment.
  • Experience in an educational institution environment preferred.
  • Commitment to discern and maintain strict confidentiality when necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
  • Strong writing skills, proofreading abilities such as spelling, style and grammar.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite are required including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Normal office working conditions including computer usage may require occasional standing, walking, long periods of sitting, climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
