Assistant Director of Lower School
The Assistant Director of Lower School is committed to honoring Christ by preparing students to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world, knowing they are His masterpieces, uniquely designed for His purpose. The Assistant Director of Lower School supports the Lower School Director in creating an environment that is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome and loving.
RESPONSIBILITES
Model a Growing and Vibrant Relationship with Christ
- Pursue full devotion to Christ and live the life we are inviting others to live
- Manifest the fruit of the Spirit in work habits and relationships
Demonstrate Commitment to Cherry Hills Christian School
- Be an active, engaged member of the school community
- Attend and serve at school-wide, all-hands-on-deck events (Examples: Meet & Greet, Back to School Night, Open Houses, Parent Teacher Conferences, etc)
Assist and Support Director as a School and Instructional Leader
- Ensure all team members know and uphold safety and security procedures
- Provide instructional training, coaching and feedback to teachers and staff with a focus on continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with the Academic Leadership Team to ensure curriculum maps are aligned, implemented, and updated as needed
- Assist in leading and coordinating professional development opportunities t
- Partner with the Academic Services Department
Cultivate Positive Relationships with Children and Families
- Connect relationally with children and parents
- Provide a safe and orderly school environment by administering consistent discipline policies and procedures
- Support teachers in their efforts to thoroughly know each child’s needs and plan for personalized learning opportunities that increase student growth and achievement
Leadership Administrative Responsibilities
- Is knowledgeable about Cherry Hills Christian School policies and procedures to assist with day-to-day operations
- Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion and a service orientation
Demonstrates a Commitment to Growth
- Receive and apply training and development from the Director
- Actively participate in yearly goal setting and reflection
- Attends department and all-staff meetings
Model Servant Leadership and Exhibit a Helpful, Joyful Attitude
Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- A growing and evident commitment to Jesus Christ and a Biblical lifestyle that exhibits conduct consistent with CHC’s Essentials of Faith
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Classroom Teaching Experience required
- Administrative certification required
- A minimum of two years educational leadership experience
- Must have a flexible attitude with a servant’s heart
