Job Title: Associate Pastor
Church: Parkview Evangelical Free Church (Parkview)

Job Type: Full-Time, Reporting to the Lead pastor under the authority of the Board of Elders
About Us: Parkview is a vibrant and growing Christian Church dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth,
fostering discipleship, and spreading the message of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a dedicated and
passionate Associate Pastor to lead and guide our congregation in their journey of spiritual growth and
discipleship.
Position Overview: The Associate Pastor will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of discipleship
within our Church community. This role involves developing and coordinating various discipleship pro-
grams aimed at equipping believers to mature in their faith and actively serve both within the Church
and in the wider community. The successful applicant will be spiritually grounded and follow Biblical
teaching in agreement with Parkview Statement of Faith.

everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully
works in me.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Provide visionary leadership for the discipleship ministry, aligning it with the overall mission and
values of Parkview
● Implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy that focuses on Men’s and Women’s Min-
istries and discipleship groups at various ages and stages of their faith journey
● Shepherd, mentor and disciple individuals, providing guidance and support as they navigate
their faith and personal growth
● Identify, equip and train leaders and volunteers to effectively lead discipleship groups.
● Collaborate with staff and Church leaders to ensure integration of discipleship efforts into the
overall Church ministry
● Regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of discipleship programs, making necessary
adjustments to meet evolving needs
● Engage with the Parkview congregation through preaching, teaching and administering pastoral
care as needed (including visitation, counseling, family/marriage care)
● Other assigned duties by Lead pastor
Qualifications:
● Must have a strong relationship with the Lord and be a man who meets the qualifications to be
an Elder
● A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to personal spiritual growth
● Willing, able and eligible to be ordained or credentialed in the Evangelical Free Church of Amer-
ica
● Possess the humble heart of a servant leader who has demonstrated discipleship involvement
and experience at multiple levels
● A graduate degree from an accredited Seminary preferred OR a minimum of a Bachelor’s de-
gree in a ministry related field from an accredited Christian school
● Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple discipleship initiatives simultane-
ously
● A team builder and player who is a self-starter and will take the initiative
