Sturgeon Bay Community Church is a non-denominational fellowship in Door County, Wisconsin that is dedicated to preaching and teaching the Word of God to equip the saints for the work of ministry so that we can make disciples both in our community and to the ends of the earth. To that end, we are seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to join our team to accomplish the task of glorifying God and enjoying him forever. Please visit our website and review our Statement of Faith for more information about us as you consider God’s leading.

PRIMARY PURPOSE The Associate Pastor will design and implement all aspects of youth ministry, including Kid Zone (Nursery-Grade 5) and Community Students (Grade 6-12) at Sturgeon Bay Community Church. Preferred candidates will also be equipped to shepherd volunteers in the areas of local outreach and global missions, though these areas could change (e.g., worship) based on the background and experience of the candidate.

1. Partner with parents, ministry leaders, and other congregants to disciple the next generation at SBCC. 2. Build and implement a comprehensive discipleship pathway from pre-school through high school, including a biblical and theological teaching plan for equipping future saints for the work of ministry (Eph 4:12).

3. Kid Zone. Evaluate current ministry structure, philosophy, and volunteers. Select and implement a long-term biblical curriculum consistent with the SBCC Statement of Faith and one that integrates with grades 6-12 if possible.

4. Community Students. Recruit and equip volunteers to disciple youth from grades 6-12 throughout the week. Spend time connecting with both SBCC and non-SBCC students outside of Wednesday evenings to build stronger relationship within the church as well as the community.

5. Shepherd lay volunteers and provide biblical oversight to lay ministry leaders in the areas of local outreach and global missions (or another ministry area for which the candidate has experience).
