Associate and Assistant Pastors
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Appointment and Tenure: The Rector appoints the Associate Priest, in consultation with the Vestry, and the Associate Priest will report to and serve at the Rector’s discretion with an indefinite tenure. This position calls for a long-term relationship with the potential for an expanding role.
Purpose: In addition to performing the duties and ministries associated with the vows of the priesthood, the Associate Priest will focus primarily on Family Life
Ministries to include young adults, youth, and children’s programs and ministries.
As part of that focus, the Associate Priest will recruit and train youth and
children’s volunteers, and work toward developing and leading a weekly service
aimed specifically at young adults, youth, and children.
Qualifications: The candidate must be ordained or be willing to pursue ordination to the priesthood with n the Anglican Churches in North America (ACNA). The
standard education required for ordination within the ACNA is an earned Master of Divinity (MDiv) or equivalent (undergraduate work and/or life experience). Go to C4SO.org to find our ordination process.
Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable, plus Pensacola is an income-tax free city and state. In addition to salary, there will be three weeks of paid vacation annually, to be taken at a time agreed upon with the rector.
