Overview of Open Door Ministries
Open Door Ministries exists to provide practical help and hope to people in urban Denver who are
homeless or low income. Our primary objective is to move people toward self-sufficiency by
helping change the circumstances and life patterns that have held them captive to poverty and
addictions. Through 18 distinct programs, we focus on tangible needs like food, shelter, access to
education and employment training, as well as intangible needs such as friendship, hope, and

Supervisor: Business Director
Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly $17.82/hr. – $32.63/hr.
Job purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Business and Development offices of
ODM.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist Business Office as needed with e-mails, phone calls, voice mail, reports,
communications, filing, scanning and other administrative tasks
Assist with donor system maintenance, including: address updates, new giving instructions,
hard rejects, duplicate donors and data entry
Facilitate gift acknowledgements, including recurring donations and soft credits
Mail receipts weekly and assist with year-end receipts
Prepare childcare tax credits
Gift in kind entry and receipting
Assist with mail and deposit process
Cross-train and assist with other accounting duties as needed
Inventory office supplies
Assist with ODM fundraising events
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High level of computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Google docs,
and Raisers Edge NXT would be preferred), good communication skills, good people skills,
ability to be flexible and learn quickly, commitment to excellence, attention to detail, manage
and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
