Salary/Range: Dependent upon experience
McCook, NE, Cambridge, NE, and Oberlin, KS

McCook E-Free is a growing EFCA church that is cultivating followers of Jesus to impact our world through preaching the Word, relational discipleship, and serving to build the kingdom. We are a 42yr old, multi-campus, multi-generational church in rural SW Nebraska and NW Kansas. We are a church family of 600 people averaging 440 people each weekend across 4 campuses and online. Our desire is to understand the grace of God such that we will be the hands and feet of Jesus, willing to get dirty in the weeds of life so the Kingdom grows in our region.

McCook E-Free is a 42-year-old EFCA Church located in McCook, NE. We are a growing church with four campuses across three communities, in two states. Our church family is made up of 600 people, with an average weekly attendance of approximately 440. We are a regional church made up of people living in and influencing nearly a dozen communities in two states.

We launched our community campuses in Cambridge, NE and Oberlin, KS in September of 2020 with the desire of reaching these communities with a healthy, disciple making church. These campuses have been led by local Core Teams of volunteers supported by our staff and Board. In the early months of 2022, we will launch a fourth campus in McCook in the Work Ethic Camp (WEC), a facility of the Nebraska Department of Corrections.

Our campuses have grown, are healthy, and are making disciples in their local communities, but we are in need of dedicated local pastoral leadership. We are open to hiring this position in one of two ways.

The first option is to hire two, part-time, bi-vocational Campus Pastors. One will live and serve in Cambridge and the other in Oberlin. These Campus Pastors would dedicate approximately 16 hours each week to their local community campus with 4 more hours being given to general ministry responsibilities at the McCook Campus. With this option, each campus will be eager to assist in finding additional employment in their community.

The second option is to hire one full-time Campus Pastor. This position would likely live in McCook and spend approximately 16 hours in each Cambridge and Oberlin, 4 hours in WEC, and 4 hours given to general ministry responsibilities at the McCook Campus.

In either option, the Campus Pastor(s) will…
Provide leadership, vision, administration, and encouragement to our amazingly dedicated Core Teams.
Provide pastoral care, oversee connections, discipleship, and leadership training to the congregation.
Be visible, involved, and serving in each community.

We are looking for a disciple maker who has a heart for people, and a church planting mentality. This person will be responsible for leading, pastoring, and discipling our campuses and engaging their communities. This person must understand and embrace rural culture. This person must communicate well and work well in teams.

God is moving in these communities and there is still plenty of work to be done. He has been faithful thus far; we are confident He will continue to be! We ask that you pray about this opportunity to minister in America’s heartland impacting lives for Jesus.
