Each week, we hire five guest speakers. Four of the speakers commit to being a CHAPEL SPEAKER for a specific program (Programs 1-4) and the fifth speaker acts as our ALL CAMP MISSIONARY for the week. The guest speakers serve as the spiritual leaders and teachers for our campers.
Generally, campers will have three formal lessons per day in a large group setting. Two of these will be provided by the CHAPEL SPEAKER, and one will be provided by the CAMP MISSIONARY.
ROLE OF THE CHAPEL SPEAKER
The CHAPEL SPEAKER uses a pre-packaged curriculum based on our summer theme, which we provide. This curriculum includes 10 messages (generally 2 per day), starting on Sunday night of the designated week and ending on Friday night. The curriculum provided for chapel sessions will focus on truths leading to a full knowledge of salvation, Lordship and various aspects of daily Christian living. Chapel Speakers will be paid $500 dollars per week or compensation for 1-2 children to attend camp. It is expected that the Chapel Speaker will live on camp for the week of their speaking agreement and participate in camp activities and meal times. Chapel Speakers need to have a ministry related degree, a year or more experience teaching or ministering to youth, and complete our application process.
