The Children’s Minister Search Committee of Oak Street Baptist Church (OSBC) in Graham, TX is seeking the individual that will become the next Children’s Minister (CM) (or Pastor) for our congregation. The Children’s Minister will provide vision and leadership for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of children aged Kindergarten to 5th Grade on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, as well as periodic special events throughout the year.

 

Duties will include:

Develop and lead a balanced and effective children’s ministry which includes outreach, discipleship, worship, and ministry for children Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Partner with the families of children, providing counsel and/or programs to assist in family-related issues and aid parents in discipling their children.
Coordinate and supervise Christian education for children Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Recruit, lead, and equip children’s workers (paid and volunteer).
Develop, present, and maintain an annual children’s ministry budget.
Develop, promote, and implement weekly and seasonal programs and activities (such as VBS, Family Camp, Children’s Church, etc.)
Set goals for evaluating children’s ministry including curricula, facilities, sharing of space, and resources.
Coordinate children’s activities and programs with other staff and ministries of the church to support the total ministry of Oak Street Baptist Church.
Adhere to Constitution and Bylaws of Oak Street Baptist Church.
Possess a minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with children’s ministries, leadership preferred.
Dynamic social, relational, and leadership skills are highly desired.

 

An undergraduate college/university degree, preferably in children’s ministry, child development, Christian education, or a similar discipline is highly desired.

 

The future CM of OSBC will be unequivocally committed to the inerrancy and authority of the inspired Word of God, and therefore, will not yield on Biblical principles nor stray from the truth of the doctrines of traditional Christian orthodoxy.
