Description:
The Clinical Director oversees the organization’s counseling program by recruiting and managing counseling staff and interns; supporting counseling and live-in staff; facilitating the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive growth of the residents; and, establishing connections with outside resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES [will vary based on hours]
- Supervise counselors and interns and maintain connections with intern referral sources
- Place resident and out-patient clients with appropriate counselors
- Oversee counseling groups and lead as needed
- Provide individual counseling to residents as needed
- Provide staff with mental health training, tools, & resources for the populations we serve
- Develop relationships and collaborate with outside resources related to clinical care
- Assist program staff with crisis intervention and support
- Assist leadership team in developing further counseling services (internal and/or external)
- Oversee the department’s compliance with legal policies, guidelines, documentation, and standards
- Engage in the greater PN community by attending meetings, training, and special events
- Actively increase knowledge and skills for serving our populations
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Masters Degree: LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
- LAC preferred
- Able to provide clinical supervision; Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential preferred
- Sense of calling to urban ministry and a mature, personal Christian faith
- Comfortable signing Providence Network’s Statement of Faith
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and residents
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills when resolving administrative and resident-based issues and conflicts
- Detailed knowledge of policies and regulations in the clinical field
- Specialized in trauma, addiction, and family systems
- Ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required
- Basic computer literacy and organization skills to manage program and maintain case records
- Pass a criminal background check
