Worship Ministry
Coordinator of Worship Arts – Thornton Campus
Purpose:
To build a Christ centered community of people fully devoted to loving God and loving others by providing spiritual leadership, direction, and development to the ministries of worship and music including audio/visual teams so that people will be encouraged to exalt God in all things.
Requirements:
Born again with clear evidence of a godly lifestyle.
Agreement with Calvary Bible Church Constitution
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the worship arts ministry at the Thornton campus.
– Train, prepare, and practice musical skills necessary to lead worship on a weekly basis.
– Lead elements in the service as requested such as prayer, scripture reading, and communion instrumentals.
– Evaluate and review services lead with your supervisor and Campus Pastor on a regular basis for improvements.
- Develop and train teams of leaders to facility worship at the Thornton campus.
– Recruit, train, schedule, and care for musicians and vocal artist to help facility worship in the main gathering.
– Recruit, train, schedule, and care for technical leaders to run sound, lighting, and video during the services at the Thornton campus.
- Participate in Thornton campus staff meetings and be an integral part of the team as one of the original staff members of the Thornton campus.
– Develop a team culture in Thornton
– Advocate for the Disciple-making Pathway (Starting Point, Base Camp, Membership)
– Step into the Leadership Pipeline and implement the leadership pipeline in the Worship Arts ministry.
- Other duties as assigned, including occasional special events.
Accountability
The Coordinator of Worship Arts – Thornton Campus is directly accountable to the Director of Community Life – Thornton Campus
Standards of Performance
After a three (3) month period, the Thornton Campus Pastor may make an evaluation.
Thereafter, evaluations may occur annually to enhance development and effectiveness.
