Director of Family Ministries (Children & Junior High) The priorities of this position are in light of Ephesians 4:11-16.

REPORTS TO: Executive Pastor

SALARY RANGE: $45,000-$60,000 with healthcare benefits

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time/Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for the development of ministries that teach the truths of Scripture to the children & junior high students of Memorial Bible Church.


-Oversight of the Sunday morning Sunday School for Children (K-5th grade): which includes the recruitment & development of leaders, involvement in Sunday morning classes as needed, review of curriculum, & general presence in the Children’s Ministry area.

-Oversight of the Junior High Ministry (6th-8th grade): which includes the Sunday evening MBC YOUTH gathering, various youth events, the recruitment & development of leaders, & maintaining communication with families.

-Oversight of Children’s Ministry Events: which includes the planning, preparation, & execution of an annual Vacation Bible School in the summer & potentially AWANA on Wednesday evenings in the future.

-Promote a healthy relationship between the Junior High & High School Ministries by working in conjunction with the High School Director on planning for MBC YOUTH.

-Collaborate with the other pastors & directors on church-wide activities throughout the year.

-Perform other duties given by the elders, Lead Pastor, & Executive Pastor when given.


-Teaching/Preaching: Desire to teach & preach the Bible faithfully & in theological alignment with the overall teaching/preaching of Memorial Bible Church.

-Self-motivated: willing to work diligently & be intentional with their time & energy

-Relational: committed to developing God-honoring relationships with those in their area of ministry, the church as a whole, & the community at large.

-Related experience in a church setting is preferred, but not required

-No Educational Requirements, but a healthy desire to continue to learn & grow in grace & knowledge are required
