Triangle Grace Church located in Durham, North Carolina is looking for its next Director of Music. This full-time position will work in collaboration with the staff and music team to ensure a meaningful worship service that exalts Christ and encourages those present to glorify him in all that they do. Our worship service involves hymnody, contemporary praise music, and choral presentation accompanied by both traditional and contemporary instrumentation. We desire a music director who is competent in leading our music team in diverse styles while developing a unique music identity for the church through its worship experience. Many other music development opportunities lay before an entrepreneurial leader inside and outside of Triangle Grace Church.
Top candidates will possess an authentic love for Jesus Christ, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music, a proven track record in collaborative leadership, an understanding of worship and music leadership within a church context, and a demonstrated ability in at least two of three areas: choral and instrumental conducting, praise band leadership, and/or accompaniment by means of electronic keyboard, standard piano, guitar, or organ. Additional staff may be hired to help complement the gifting of our next music director.
Our church is located in the heart of the Research Triangle approximately 5 miles from UNC, Duke, and North Carolina Central University. It is fast growing region of the US with tangible kingdom impact through the ministries and outreach of Triangle Grace. Centrally located between the mountains and beaches of North Carolina and a 6-hour drive to Atlanta, 4.5-hour drive to Washington, DC and Charleston, SC, 2-hour trip to Charlotte, NC and 25 minutes to Raleigh, NC there is a vitality of life and exploration for those who call Durham their home.
