Position Title: Facility Manager

Full or Part Time: Full-time, Salaried Exempt

Reports To: Director of Operation

Position Summary: The Facility Manager (FM) lives on-site in the Hope House residential building and provides light building and grounds maintenance for the 5500 sq. ft. home. The FM ensures a safe and secure residence for up to 8 teen moms and their children. The FM is responsible for closing the residential building at lights out 5 nights a week and being available to teen moms and their children overnight on those 5 nights for emergencies (sleep is generally uninterrupted). The FM is responsible for ensuring that Excellent Environment standards are met in both the residential and Resource Center buildings. The FM is responsible for the commercial kitchen in the Resource Center building and must be SafeServ certified (training provided). In addition, the FM provides some reception desk support and security procedure supports to the Director of Operations.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Residential

  • Perform a daily property walk of residential building and grounds to identify and report property issues
  • Utilize property management software (Dude Solutions) to log tickets for maintenance issues
  • Ensure a secure environment by following all residential security procedures and communicating security concerns in a timely manner
  • Manage spring planting of exterior flowerpots and hanging plants and ensure plants are cared for throughout the season
  • Follow residential building lights out/close procedure on assigned nights
  • Provide overnight coverage on assigned nights (sleep is generally uninterrupted, but FM must be available to residents in the event of major issues or emergencies)
  • Ensure Excellent Environment standards are met daily; provide light cleaning, manage volunteers who assist with cleaning, communicate with residential staff around resident’s chores/housekeeping as needed
  • Provide a warm welcome to new residents by keeping common areas of the house clean, assisting with household laundry, emptying trash and recycle bins as necessary, assisting with cleaning and readying rooms for new residents
  • Communicate with Residential Manager and staff through check-ins between shifts and written logs as needed

Resource Center

  • Maintain Excellent Environment standards daily (M-F) in the Resource Center building
  • Provide guidance as needed to Operations Assistant (and/or those covering the front desk) in completing daily operations checklists, meal clean up and kitchen supplies
  • Manage spring planting of exterior flowerpots and ensure plants are cared for throughout the season
  • Maintain interior planted pots and replace as needed
  • Manage building upkeep calendar and related vendor relationships (window cleaning, janitorial, carpet cleaning, etc.)
  • Ensure employees desks meet environmental standard weekly
  • Clean marks on white surfaces (desks and tables) bi-weekly; excluding employee desks
  • Utilize property management software (Dude Solutions) to log tickets for maintenance issues
  • Oversee seasonal décor changes (holidays, etc)
  • Ensure the building is “tour-ready” for site visits, major champion visits, and open houses
  • Manage and appreciate volunteers/volunteer groups who help with building cleanliness

Commercial Kitchen

  • Ensure commercial kitchen meets SafeServ and public health guidelines at all times
  • Ensure perishable foods are correctly stored, labeled, and properly disposed of
  • Manage vendor relationships for all kitchen and bathroom supplies and ensure they are regularly stocked
  • Work with Development Team when champions or businesses are cooking or providing meals to ensure kitchen meets standards at completion of activity/event

Operations

  • Provide front desk coverage as assigned
  • Support DO in implementing security procedures and ensuring required drills are completed

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk as well as bend, squat, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Benefits: HHC benefits are available to employees who consistently work a minimum of 24 hours a week. Benefits offered are subject to change at HHC’s sole discretion.

Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • Vacation: Upon hire, employees earn 1 hour of vacation per 15.33 hours worked up to 120 hours (3 weeks) in a year. Accruals are adjusted to increase vacation earned per hours worked based on length of employment with HHC.
  • Holidays: HHC observes eleven (11) holidays throughout the year. Salaried employees are paid for these holidays according to the nationally recognized observation day for each holiday.
  • Sick Leave: HHC provides eligible employees with Paid Sick and Safe Leave (PSSL) and Public Health Emergency Leave (PHEL) in accordance with the requirements of Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA).

Requirements
