Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To assist the Global Outreach Ministry team in the care of and communication with global ministry partners while supporting the implementation of the vision, mission and core values of Mission Hills Church. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and experience that have equipped them for the duties of the role
  • Alignment with the vision, mission, core values, and doctrinal statement of Mission Hills Church
  • Models strong Christian character, integrity, vibrant relationship with Christ and lives out biblical truth
  • 3+ years of global ministry and missionary experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, people skills and team orientation
  • Ability to continually define and refine MHC role in the areas of outreach and evangelism
  • Possesses characteristics of a team player, servant’s heart, active learner who is flexible, handle stress constructively, problem solving skills, partnering skills, organizational skills, communication skills, self-starter, contributor, & servant leader
  • Education and/or experience in computer, tech, etc.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and a willingness to learn new programs

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit Serve team members and oversee assigned area of ministry
  • Coordinate all communication with global partners including upcoming short-term trips
  • Coordinate details for specialized global outreach events (i.e. Global experience, STT participants, STT informational meetings, and other events referred by the Outreach pastor)
  • Assist in training, supporting, and coaching Global parachurch and church partners
  • Assist in new partnership possibilities in alignment with the strategy plan
  • Assist in communication and training of new Serve team members
  • Recruit, train, manage, and communicate with all STT leaders and participants
  • Coordinate logistics for on-field activities – scheduling, tours, etc.
  • Coordinate with financial team budgets and logistics involving each trip, providing financial reports as needed
  • Revise STT manual annually and provide training to all STT leaders
  • Raise awareness of the ministry through varying communication
  • Coordinate training and participate in debrief meetings with STT
  • Support the Outreach team as needed for ministry effectiveness and efficiency
  • Meet regularly with Outreach Pastor for ongoing development and coaching
