The Position:
This Coach plays a key role in the day-to-day administration of government services program offerings, while also serving as a primary teacher for online class lessons. You will present online lessons and coach program participants in their preparations for the job search, and provide in-depth administration/operational support to ensure a seamless program operations.
Responsibilities:
Online Program Execution:
- Schedule semi-weekly (2x / week) online meetings, and create activity schedules, secure special guests/speakers, and deliver content.
- Facilitate special workshops and coaching sessions as required.
- Develop program content and suggest adjustments/additions to existing content.
- Oversee progress of participant’s independent work; review submissions; suggest and connect with special training.
- Manage all content in Google classroom, including purging outdated activities and updating with current class content.
- Complete retention calls to participants who have lapsed in attendance.
- Conduct new participant orientation and collect required program documentation.
- Administer required assessments
Career Coaching:
- Schedule and conduct regular coaching sessions with participants to answer questions, develop career progression plans, and provide general encouragement for program persistence.
- Input detailed coaching notes into Salesforce participant profiles in alignment with reporting standards for TANF/SNAP case managers.
- Communicate participant concerns to the program manager and escalate priority issues to sponsoring case manager/partner as appropriate.
Program Operations / Administration:
- Participate in data collection and reporting required by grant funding (monthly billing logs, success stories, etc.)
- Develop actionable and replicable program processes and procedures; document all departmental procedures to the departmental playbook
- Hold responsibility for various administrative elements for the Easy Access Program team, including but not limited to:
- Process stipends (bi-weekly)
- Obtain CBMS access to determine participant billing eligibility
- Monitor DHS referrals email and initiate prompt follow up
- Schedule and send out daily class reminders to all participants
Requirements:
- Strong teaching and classroom management abilities, including the development of engaging lessons centered on curriculum topics determined by grant deliverables
- Career coaching experience and ability to advise participants on career topics including resume writing, cover letter writing, interviewing, etc. highly desirable
- Enthusiastic about coaching participants to develop career goals, and action plans, and holding them accountable to work on their plan
- Highly energized by interpersonal interactions with the ability to set professional boundaries and maintain coaching authority.
- Knowledge of SNAP and TANF programs and the unique dynamics of recipient populations.
- Broad relationships across racial and economic differences.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to create processes and procedures to effectively manage program delivery requirements.
- Ability to become proficient quickly in Google G Suite and other software.

- Employee must provide a working laptop (PC preferred) and smartphone.
