H2TF’s Leadership and Mentoring Intern
Qualifications:
- Be prepared to work with students and maintain confidentiality
- Self-directed, motivated, creative, and energetic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Cross-cultural competencies are demonstrated by the ability and desire to work with different cultures.
- Multitask between several duties and projects at once
- Self-efficient on time management and organization
- Must work well as a part of a team
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of H2TF.
- Clean nationwide criminal background check.
- Well-versed in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Know how to operate Zoom
- Technical know-how on computers
- Able to troubleshoot or solve technical problems
- Willing to be flexible on time, especially on weekday evenings and weekends
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Attend all meetings with the team for both programs: Leadership and Scholarship Program (L&S) and the Scholars United Network (S.UN.), H2TF’s alumni mentoring program.
- Attend all seminars and events
- Communicate with the team regarding deadlines, projects, and student concerns
- Work with the College Advising team to recruit new scholars for L&S and students for the S.U.N.
- Send out necessary links and applications to appropriate contacts.
- Communicate with students regarding applications, upcoming events, and announcements through email, text, and phone calls in a timely manner.
- Assist and provide support with seminar and event planning
- Organize all virtual documents alongside the team’s approval
- During seminars, be prepared to handle all technological needs.
- Train the team in the utilization of computer programs and Google apps
- Review the Leadership curriculum documents prior to Leadership and Scholarship Program and make suggestions when necessary.
- Prepare to instruct and present activities during the seminars.

Program descriptions of what you will be working with:
H2TF’s Leadership & Scholarship Program
An 11-week leadership seminar addressing a range of topics from exploration of self and advocacy to bias and communication skills. Upon successful completion of the seminars, students will receive a $1500 scholarship, as well as the opportunity to apply for three more scholarships from the Denver Foundation, including one 4-year needs-based scholarship to any Colorado public institution.
Scholars United Network (S.U.N.)
A student-run program focused on building a supportive community for students to develop connections, support one another, and have fun! Through a Mentor/Mentee system, the program pairs recent high school graduates with students who have completed at least one year of post-secondary study. As a result, they work together to achieve their personal and academic goals through outside activities and workshops.
