Healthcare Missions (HCM) team members will work within our team to raise awareness of health-related opportunities, mobilize healthcare professionals, and develop resources for effective ministry in East Asia.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for team members vary depending on their role, giftings, interest and experience. In addition to attending virtual bi-monthly HCM team meetings, team members may:

• Receive HCM workers’ prayer letters and pray/advocate for their ministries, current opportunities and needs on a regular basis.
• Correspond with HCM workers to encourage them.
• Collect and compile HCM stories/media which can be used within the Fellowship.
• Be a resource for groups, churches and organizations on HCM.
• Represent OMF at HCM conferences or other related events.
• Mentor those considering long-term HCM on how to intentionally develop their vision and skills.
• Help organize and lead HCM-related Serve Asia trips.
• Follow-up with individuals interested in getting involved in HCM:
  • Respond in a timely manner after notification of their interest.
  • Suggest resources for inquirers wanting to know more about HCM (e.g., books, conferences, vision trips).
  • Update supervisor when inquirer ready for next steps in exploring HCM.
