Guide the Human Resources function of a dynamic and growing manufacturer and supplier.

This role coordinates with corporate HR and then is responsible for executing the HR function within our company to include developing policy and directing HR and Safety activities including: legal compliance, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, HRIS systems, compensation, employee relations, training and organizational development, payroll and administration of safety programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Corporate HR Team to ensure they are aware of HR issues within the company and that Binford HR programs align with corporate programs and goals. Support and respond to corporate HR as required.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions in multiple state locations and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Execution of talent management process including recruitment, interviewing, and on-boarding to build a talent base to meet growing needs.
  • Works in close collaboration with company department managers and supervisors.
  • Provides leadership to the company on employee relations, compensation, coaching, and performance management to include development, with Corporate HR assistance, of effective performance management programs and training of supervisors and managers.
  • Manages and processes payroll and all benefit and 401(k) programs.
  • Responsible for compliance reporting (e.g. EEO/AA, ACA, OSHA), workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Coordinates in conjunction with Operations the company safety programs.
  • Develops job descriptions and helps with organizational development.
  • Supervision of departmental staff.
  • Brings business acumen, strategic thinking and ethical approach to all interactions


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or similar preferred.
  • 2+ years leadership role in Human Resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coaching/mentoring experience and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to maintain discretion and integrity in all activities
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel).
  • Extensive experience with benefit packages, health, wellness, 401(k).
  • Experience with third party providers: ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, etc.

This includes an emphasis on benefit administration, recruitment, retention, administrative functions, compensation, and payroll, including all reporting requirements in addition to acting as an information resource for our team members. The ability to develop, implement and evaluate ongoing HR policies and programs and work cooperatively with the Corporate HR team is critical to this person’s success.
