RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a caseload of up to approximately 15 residents, meeting weekly with each resident Work some evening and weekend on-duty shifts
  • Assist with resident candidate screenings, intakes and assessments during resident recruitment and admissions
  • Co-create resident goal plans and action plans in the areas of self-sufficiency and career goals, life skill and enrichment activities, parenting, recovery and other growth areas
  • Uphold missional goals, program commitments, and community rules and values, addressing resident non-compliance and growth barriers in creative and constructive ways
  • Respond to emergency situations through thoughtful (often collaborative) crisis management
  • Coordinate resident care with outside providers and provide referrals to appropriate resources
  • Create and maintain resource lists and information for staff
  • Maintain all relevant case management data and notes
  • Work closely with program staff and counselors, keeping the team informed of resident needs and progress
  • Engage in the greater PN community by attending meetings, training, and special events
  • Actively increase your knowledge and skills for serving our populations (reading, trainings, consulting)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Sense of calling to urban ministry and a mature, personal Christian faith
  • Comfortable signing Providence Network’s Statement of Faith (available upon request)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience in related field
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills when resolving client-based issues and conflicts
  • Experience serving people who have experienced trauma, addiction, and other crises
  • Compassionate and able to engage and motivate different personalities with various needs
  • Flexible and adaptable to change when resident care plans require adjusting for optimum results
  • Basic computer literacy and organization skills to manage program and maintain case records
  • Pass a criminal background check
