Youth and Children's Ministry
Weekly Attendance: 1,000
Location: San Clemente, California
The Role: Kid’s Pastor
Meet Zion Church:
On January 26, 2020, we launched Zion Church at Shorecliffs Middle School in San Clemente, CA. As 703 people attended our very first service, we knew God was up to something special. That day, 22 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and countless more found a place to call home. Yet, it was only seven weeks after our launch that Covid-19 hit the world and we looked to the Lord for what was next.
From gathering in an online-only capacity, to holding services in parking lots, God continued to strengthen and grow Zion Church. Even a global pandemic cannot stop a move of God. Over the last two years we’ve seen a parking lot become a church, a crowd become a family, and our city impacted by the love and power of Jesus. Even as the world around us has changed, our vision remains the same—to see the lost saved and the saved ignited.
Since launch, we’ve witnessed over 700 people give their lives to Jesus Christ. We’ve developed, empowered, and equipped servant leaders to live out their God-given purpose. And, we’ve mobilized a church to get beyond its walls and bring the hope of Jesus to the hurting, lost, and lonely, through foster care, adoption, city outreach initiatives, and global missions efforts.
Recently, we’ve entered into a new season as a church, now gathering at our new location—San Clemente High School. This exciting new season has provided us greater opportunities to reach even more for Christ and invest in the next generation. We believe the future is bright and the best is yet to come.
