POSITION:  MS/Secondary Math/Science Teacher – Deer Trail School District 26J

SALARY RANGE: Licensed Staff Salary Schedule Plus School District Comprehensive Benefits Package.  Salary Range starting at $36,030 for first year teacher as selected candidate is eligible for eight (8) additional steps as a hard to fill position. School Day: Four (4) Day School Week. (165 day).  Limited housing available and additional incentives for selected candidate. ATLP candidates encouraged to apply

  • Minimum B.A./B. S. in Education with Secondary Mathematics emphasis & Science
  • Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teachers’ Certificate/License in Secondary Mathematics & Science as Alternative License Candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated: Content knowledge of Math/Science Math Colorado standards and assessments
  • Desire to facilitate data driven instruction and work with students at the MS/HS level
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in middle/high school math.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with secondary students, colleagues and community
  • Computer and Technology skills preferred.
  • Able to work as a team member/experience.
  • Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Coaching available.
