The Big Picture

Colorado Community Church ( is seeking a full-time Pastor of Marriage and Families Ministries who will also participate on our Teaching Team.

 The Church

 Colorado Community Church is a multicultural, interdenominational and externally-focused church located in the Denver-metro area. Our calling is to, “Transform our city and beyond by connecting people to Christ, Community and Calling.” We honor the various Christian traditions in the body of Christ and strive to be an externally focused church used by God to spread the gospel of Christ and serve as an agent of peace and unity among the churches in our city. At present we have three weekend service times. Pre-pandemic, our average weekend attendance was roughly 2,800 (2,500+ adults and 300+ children (0-5th grade)). We began regathering in August of 2020 and currently average around 1,650 adults and children in-person and another 1,000+ participating online. We have a healthy, Christ-honoring work culture which offers excellent benefits, including: employer-paid health insurance premiums, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer-paid contribution (for 40/hour week employees), paid time off, and an employer-covered cell phone plan.


The Candidate

A successful candidate will have a strong teaching/preaching gift and a vision and passion to strengthen, nurture and uphold the marriages and families within our congregation and serve as a resource to our local community. In addition, this position will work with Ministry Leadership to craft and launch a Wednesday evening service that aims to teach through every book of the Bible roughly every three years.  They will serve as the primary teacher for this service while rotating in other staff pastors with a teaching gift.  This individual should function comfortably in a multicultural and interdenominational setting. Further, they should have the experience and skills to provide staff leadership and oversight and exhibit a pastoral heart and calling to equip God’s people for works of ministry.

The Qualifications


A Christ honoring life marked by personal holiness, prayer, bible study, spiritual and emotional maturity and increasing dependence on the Holy Spirit (Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7).

-Unquestionable integrity specifically in areas of handling finances, relationships, and time management.

-A person who understands and models the Christian principle of servant-leadership. Someone who is eager, flexible and has a teachable spirit.


-Pastoral gifting; naturally shepherds with strong gifts in leadership, teaching/preaching and care.

-Proven skill in equipping and releasing leaders into ministry (Eph. 4:16) as well as experience in team building and training people for ministry.

-Proven skill in teaching through the bible in a manner that is relevant and engaging.

-Respect for and ability to present the various orthodox, biblical views of the marriage relationship (i.e.: Egalitarian, Complementarian, etc.).

-A self-starter – always learning from books, others and life experiences with a commitment to excellence.

-Comfortable in interdenominational and multi-cultural settings.

-Bilingual ability preferred but not required.

-Seminary degree with at least seven years of full-time ministry experience preferred but equivalent ministry experience and bible college degree is acceptable.

-Prior completion of an official pastoral license or ordination process comparable to Colorado Community’s preferred but not required.


-A clear call to pastoral ministry and affirmation in that role.

-In full agreement with and champions Colorado Community’s Calling, Convictions and Statement of Faith.

-Supportive of the structure and leadership of Colorado Community Church and passionate about seeing others succeed.

-Strives for excellence in all work duties.
