In Regional Mobilization, we want to see the Spirit of God captivating the hearts of God’s people, compelling them towards vibrant involvement in the Great Commission for God’s glory among the nations.

Regional Mobilization volunteers work alongside the OMF Regional Mobilization Manager in one or more ministry roles (listed below) to encourage and equip God’s people to greater involvement in reaching the peoples of East Asia for Christ. This is done in a developmental environment that seeks to foster greater spiritual growth in the life of the volunteer.

Major Responsibilities:

Assist the OMF Regional Mobilization Manager to:

• Discover and develop a long-term presence and credibility among churches, mission networks, colleges, and other parachurch networks in a focused area.

Serve in one or more of these specific roles:

• PRAYER: Mobilize others for the important role of prayer for the peoples of East Asia.
  • Possible activities could include:
    • Coordinate prayer, and mobilize others to join.
    • Lead a prayer group focused on an unreached people group or country specific.
  • MENTORING: Influence and invest in those interested and/or involved in missions to impact East Asia for the Gospel.
    • Possible activities could include:
      • Invest in a local church or college campus in mobilizing for missions.
      • Start and/or facilitate a missional small group that encourages, nurtures and prepares participants to get more involved in the six ways to reach God’s world.
      • Recognize those who have potential for volunteering and or serving in missions in East Asia and invest in them.
    • HOSPITALITY and EVENTS: Promote and support missions through local area events.
      • Possible activities could include:
        • Be a part of a team that plans OMF-related missions events.
        • Coordinate and/or provide logistics for OMF-related missions events.
        • Host local area events for OMF. Some examples may be prayer meetings, missions events. etc.
      • ADVOCACY: Represent the needs of East Asia at churches, events and campuses.
        • Possible activities could include:
          • Represent OMF at area churches and/or college campuses to share about the needs of East Asia.
          • Advocate for the peoples of East Asia in the local area.
        • MINISTRY SUPPORT: Support the logistical needs for the local OMF regional mobilization team.
          • Possible activities could include:
            • Help to design materials needed for mobilization.
            • Promote local area ministry through social media.
