JOB OVERVIEW

Reign Church exists to see people transformed through relationship with Jesus Christ.  The Student Pastor at Reign Church will be responsible to lead the mission in the context of Middle and High School students.

The Student Ministry will consist of a weekly worship experience and teaching. In addition to the typical weekly schedule, the Student Ministry provides retreats, mission trips and other activities. The Student Pastor will be responsible to develop and lead a team of volunteer ministry leaders to ensure that our mission is being accomplished.

The development of this ministry is from the ground up.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Student Pastor shall have three primary responsibilities:

1) Our Student Pastor is a shepherd first and foremost. This means they are committed to the mission of the Church through providing care, leadership, and teaching to the body.

2) The Student Pastor will provide oversight and leadership to the Student Ministry. This means effective leadership of the various activities and teams within the Student Ministry. This leadership includes working with the leaders, parents, and student leadership to continue the mission of our church.

3) The Student Pastor will provide resources and coaching to parents. The Student Pastor must be able to provide insight and resources to equip parents to effectively lead their students through the difficulties of modern youth culture.

KEY SKILL SET

A successful Student Pastor shall have the following skills:

• Effective Communicator: The Student Pastor must be able to communicate effectively and in a compelling manner the Good News of Christ to students.  They must also be comfortable maintaining connection and communication with parents.

• Consistent Leadership: The Student Pastor must maintain steady and present leadership in the lives of students, leaders and parents.
• Demonstrated Passion: The Student Pastor must genuinely love Middle and High School students, showing an innate passion to be involved in their lives.
• Relevant Experience or Education: The Student Pastor must have some prior experience or education with student ministry. A theological degree is NOT required.

LOGISTICS

This is a PART-TIME paid position ($5,000-$8,000.00/year)
