Position Title: The Brook Business Administrator and Communications Director 

Reports to: Executive Director of The Brook

Location: Denver, Wash Park area

Date: September 2022

Status: Salaried W2 Employee

Brook Mission Statement: The Brook is a young professionals ministry that uses the means of digital outreach and social events to raise up leaders to impact Denver to the world. 

 

Position Summary 

 

We are searching for a high functioning Business Administrator and Communications Director to serve and support our Executive Director of The Brook. This candidate is a clear communicator, responsible, and a problem solver.  This includes serving as the first point of contact for all communications while supporting and communicating on behalf of the Executive director and  providing any administrative support needed.

  

More importantly, we’re searching for an individual who is a devoted follower of Jesus who will work alongside the Executive Director  to help foster the multiplication of disciple makers. 

 

Role and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive director including but not limited to: 
    • Formatting Documents 
    • Printing off handouts
    • Building spreadsheets
    • Schedule meetings 
    • Expenses 
    • Order food/beverage
    • Take meeting notes 
    • Build sign up forms 

 

  • Oversee and execute all Brook communications. Communicate on behalf of the Executive Director via phone calls, texts, emails, in person meetings, chat groups. Examples include: 
    • Email Brook members for quotes 
    • Monthly Brook newsletter
    • Donor Maintenance 
    • Simple church leader communications 

 

  • Periodically audit Brook systems, identify problems, and proactively research and implement systematic solutions. 
  • Track and report on monthly statistics such as number of simple churches, intro groups, attendance at happy hour and community night. 
  • Oversee the yearly Brook calendar and update dates on various platforms 
  • Work alongside other Brook teams members to see goals accomplished 

 

Would be nice if you could :

  • Operate and maintain The Brook CRM simple church database. 
  • Operate and maintain forms to ensure a positive and inviting user experience.
  • Ensure every interested-person is accurately accounted for and communicated with.
  • lead“Check In” and the “I’m New” new-person get connected team.

 

You are: 

  • A high functioning communicator with the ability to work alongside an executive level leader
  • A person with a strong technical skill set that includes the ability to work inn spreadsheets, and communication systems. 
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once 
  • Action oriented, self-starter, detail oriented, organized, and efficient. You have the ability to prioritize and pivot when needed.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • A strategic thinker who looks ahead and anticipates problems before they arise. 
  • Someone with high Emotional intelligence 
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in different environments
  • Servant natured and willing to “get the job done” for tasks that may not fall within your job description 
  • Happy to help, and have a “do whatever it takes” mentality 
  • Emotionally healthy and spirituality mature
  • Passionate about making disciples 
  • Committed to the spiritual discipline of tithing

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study is preferred, but not required

 

Experience
