The Position:

I.M. Financial is hiring a Wealth Management Assistant. This is a key role that ensures excellence in customer service. This person manages client interactions and maintains the highest level of confidentiality and discretion in all business matters to complete appropriate paperwork in a professional and timely manner.


  • Generate account applications for new or existing clients, including brokerage accounts, advisory accounts, and insurance applications 
  • Process money movement requests – assist clients with withdrawals/distributions, set up bank instructions, monitor wires 
    • Firm level Reporting/Tracking
      • Cash as a percentage of account value (monthly to advisors)
  • Monthly report of CDs maturing, bonds maturing, SWP cash requirements, quarterly fee cash requirements
  • Trust maintenance – distribution calculations/tracking
  • RMD calculations every January then saved to CRM for each client of RMD age.  If they have a SWP for RMD, change the SWP amount
  • Tax form management – provide forms to clients when requested, coordinate with CPAs for delivery of tax forms as soon as they become available
  • Review Meeting prep – pull notes and create reports for meetings with clients. 
  • Account maintenance – address changes, name changes, beneficiary changes, death of client
  • Compliance/Recordkeeping support – archiving letters, documents, RM materials, etc.
  • CRM/Electronic file system “clean up” projects
  • Special projects – assist with planning and attend client events, participate in firm community service events and more. 
  • Attend review and discovery meetings, record notes, summarize action items to clients, complete said action items.
  • Help execute the firm’s marketing plan.


  • Prior industry experience required, minimum of 3 years  
  • Prior administrative experience required, minimum of 2 years 
  • Licenses preferred: Series 6/7, with 63/65 or 66 and insurance licenses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 


Salary + Benefits:

  • FT, base salary +/-$60,000 BOE /5 days per week (also open to $40,000 BOE for ⅔ FTE)
  • Share of bonus pool after Year 1
  • Insurance (Health, Life and Disability Insurance) offered from day 1
  • 4 weeks PTO
