Gilbert Chinese Church (GCC) is a nondenominational evangelical Christian church serving the Chinese community in Gilbert, Arizona, and nearby areas. GCC has a regular attendance of over 130 adults, 25+ youth, and 45+ children.

 

We are seeking a full-time, Youth pastor who has a passion to reach and mentor young people.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• • Youth Ministry Responsibilities
    • Provide a vision for the Youth Ministry
    • Teach Youth Sunday School 
    • Lead Youth Friday small groups and other youth activities
    • Recruit, train, and shepherd youth ministry adult co-workers
    • Disciple and mentoring the youth
    • Provide pastoral caring to the youth and their parents 
    • Preach at the English/Youth Sunday Worship services 

• General Responsibilities

• Attend weekly pastoral staff meetings and monthly deacon board meetings.

• • • Occasionally preach for the Mandarin Sunday services (translator provided)

• Support and collaborate with other pastor, coworkers, and ministries.

• Report to the Deacon Board

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Called by God to full-time ministry

• Obtained or currently pursuing at least a Bachelor of Bible Study degree from an accredited Bible college or equivalent as determined by the Deacon Board

• Has served in youth ministry at least one year, serving in English young adult ministry is beneficial 

• Demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment

• Fully align with GCC’s Constitution and By-laws
