Youth Team Lead
JOB SUMMARY The Youth Team Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to bring IN, build UP, and send OUT middle and high schoolers (teens) and equipping their parents as the primary disciple-makers of their children. Calvary’s ministry with and to teens should reflect and deepen the three dimensions of Calvary’s vision: Up, In, and Out, and should attend to the contexts of families and teens (home/neighborhood, school, networks, and the gathered life of the church). The Youth Team Lead also recruits and supports volunteers and other staff to provide formation for teens consistent with the above. The Youth Team Lead must be a follower of Christ and have a living faith, and be able to inspire others to a life of discipleship and mission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Equipping Parents – Designing and implementing a Calvary strategy for equipping parents as the primary disciple-makers of their teenage children – Form a faithful, supportive and missional community of families at Calvary – Recruit, train, deploy, and support adult leaders who will assist with youth ministry through Calvary Church Calvary Youth Group/Ministry – Design and implement a strategy complementary to the above to foster a living and engaged faith in teenagers for activities led by Calvary Church, such as Youth Group and Sunday morning formation – Provide for Confirmation preparation and support on a regular basis – Partner with Family Life Team Lead and college ministry team to build mutually reinforcing strategies – Develop and utilize a related ministry budget – Participate in staff meetings, staff prayer, staff development, and team-building

Supervisor: Senior Pastor (or Family Life Team Lead)
