“We need to become a community of people who are engaged in mission wherever we are, not just in the church building.”

What does it mean to be “on mission” as God’s people? Is this something specific to those called to serve God as missionaries? Or is there a different understanding of mission applicable for all Christians?

Dr. Michael Frost—founding director of the Tinsley Institute, award-winning author, and internationally recognized Australian missiologist—unpacks the meaning of being on mission. Through reflections on his personal faith journey and his new book, “Mission Is the Shape of Water: Learning From the Past to Inform Our Role in the World Today,” Dr. Frost examines what the mission of the Church looks like today and the importance of contextualizing mission to your specific cultural context.
