January 5, 2025 | Amy Seiffert

Dr. Angie Ward sits down with Amy Seiffert—author, speaker, pastor, and Denver Seminary student in our Women’s Leadership Cohort pursuing her Master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies—to discuss her book “Your Name is Daughter: What the Unsung Women of the Bible Teach Us About Our Worth.”

Amy shares her five-year journey of discovering overlooked biblical women like Huldah the prophet, the Hebrew midwives Shiphrah and Puah, and the nameless bleeding woman whom Jesus called “daughter.” They explore how Jesus interacted with women in countercultural ways, touching the unclean, including women as witnesses, and restoring their dignity and position in God’s family. Amy reflects on how these women—both named and nameless—reveal different temperaments, gifts, and callings that can help modern women embrace their own identity as beloved daughters of God. She also discusses her hope that both men and women will recognize women as partners called to serve side by side in the kingdom of God.
