Continue the legacy of Dr. Edward L. Hayes, former academic dean (1972-1979) and 4th president of Denver Seminary (1993-1996). The Dr. Edward and Marilyn Hayes Presidential Endowed Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that provides financial assistance for full-time students who demonstrate exceptional levels of academic achievement. During Dr. Hayes’ tenure as dean, he helped to shape the caliber and character of the faculty at Denver Seminary. His love for shaping the minds and hearts of students was evident throughout his tenure; for that reason, a scholarship fund was established in his honor.

“I am in my final year of the MA of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Denver Seminary. My long-term goal is to work as a psychologist in a setting that combines teaching and/or research with counseling and clinical work. I have personally experienced physical suffering… therefore, I would like to work in a hospital or other healthcare setting where I can help others who suffer psychologically and/or physically…Thank you for your support which tremendously impacts my life and will transform the lives of many more.”
