The purpose of The Judge Shannon Preaching Lectureship is to honor the vision of Judge and Mrs. Dale E. Shannon to equip Christian leaders to think biblically, live faithfully, and lead wisely for a lifetime. Herein, the fund shall provide financial support for The Judge Shannon Preaching Lectureship, which has the threefold mission to (1) provide the attendees, both seminary students and local pastors along the Front Range of Colorado and beyond, with a sermon series that they can preach in their ministries, (2) demonstrate to students and pastors the necessity of preaching from the Scriptures in a clear and relevant way, and (3) promote the value and importance of Biblical Preaching in and thru the ministry of Denver Seminary.
