Your gifts to the Randy and Karen MacFarland Leadership Development Endowed Fund support the professional development of staff and faculty at Denver Seminary. The purpose of the fund is to provide opportunity for faculty and staff development as they pursue courses, certifications, and degrees that would benefit them professionally, while also being in the interest of Denver Seminary.
Dr. Randy and Karen MacFarland have a long-standing commitment to encouraging and supporting professional development through the pursuit of additional education and training. Leadership development was Randy’s passion over the course of 44 years in vocational ministry. Dr. MacFarland joined Denver Seminary’s faculty in 1997. During his tenure, he was vice president of training and mentoring and associate professor of pastoral ministry and evangelism (1997-2001), vice president/dean (2001-2008), and provost/dean (2008-2018).
Randy’s concern for holistic development of leaders was reflected in the design and development of the training and mentoring program as well as the implementation of a professional development assessment process for faculty at Denver Seminary.
