Denver Seminary announces the appointment of Timothy Livengood, CPA, as Denver Seminary’s CFO and Vice President of Finance and Operations, effective November 11, 2025.

Tim arrives with credentials that speak for themselves. He holds a CPA license, an MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and—significantly for our context—a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Seminary. His seven years as Chief Financial Officer at Valley Christian Schools demonstrate both financial sophistication and a missional commitment: revenue grew sixfold under his stewardship, enrollment increased by 183%, and he directed a $38 million municipal bond offering that restructured debt and financed expansion across multiple campuses. Before that role, he served as a Senior Associate at CliftonLarsonAllen, providing fractional CFO services to nonprofit and education clients nationwide.

What matters most is how he leads. Those who have worked closely with Tim describe a leader marked by integrity, clarity, and collaborative strength. He mentors well. He communicates financial realities with precision to both experts and generalists. He navigates complexity—legal, operational, relational—with steadiness and wisdom. One reference called him “a voice of reason.” Another described a property transaction he led as among the most intricate they had witnessed in decades of legal practice.
