Kyle Bartlett
Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2025)

Denver Seminary grieves the sudden passing of Kyle Bartlett on Friday, February 6, 2026. Kyle graduated in December 2025 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

For more than 25 years, Kyle served as an engineer and firefighter with West Metro Fire Rescue. In recent years, he answered a second calling—walking alongside those who carry the weight of trauma, particularly among first responders. As a licensed professional counselor at Cornerstone Christian Counseling in Castle Rock, Kyle brought the same steadiness and courage to the counseling room that defined his decades of service on the fire line.

Kyle was a husband to Tiffany, a father to Kyler, Bryleigh, and Ryland, and a faithful presence in every community he entered.

Dr. Paula Tipton, Chair of the Division of Counseling, offered these words: “Kyle had this way of making everyone around him feel at ease. He carried so much life experience from his years as a firefighter, but he wore it with humility and humor. You could see how much he cared about first responders and the burdens they carry—it’s why he worked so hard in this program. He knew the people he’d be sitting with, and that made him an incredible student. We loved having him in our community, and we will miss him deeply.”

We hold Kyle’s family, his West Metro family, and all who loved him before our gracious Lord, who is near to the brokenhearted.

Memorial service details and ways to support the Bartlett family will be shared as they become available.
