What you will learn
This intensive 3-week course in Israel and optional 2- week course in Jordan will introduce you to the geography, history, topography, geology, and archaeology of Israel and Jordan (optional). Field trips to biblical sites take place throughout the land and are supplemented with lectures, map study, excursions and special speakers (e.g., archaeologists, scholars).
What you will do

You will walk the streets of Old Testament, New Testament and the modern city of Jerusalem to understand ancient and modern events, cultures and religions. You will explore archaeological sites, see places where Old Testament prophets, first century disciples and Jesus lived and ministered. You will hike canyons, climb hills, and go down into valleys where biblical events took place. You will learn how biblical writers were influenced by the land of the Bible. You will swim in the Mediterranean Sea, Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. And you will meet fascinating people who live in the land. (Full itineraries available upon request)
What You Will See
In ISRAEL (3-weeks): Old and New Jerusalem, Western Wall, Temple Mount, Mount of Olives, Herodium, Bethlehem, Jericho, Gezer, Lachish, Ashkelon, Beth Shemesh, Arad, Masada, Qumran, EinGedi, Dead Sea, Nazareth, Caesarea, Megiddo, Hazor, Dan, Golan Heights, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee, etc.; In JORDAN (optional 2-weeks): Petra, donkey ride up to Petra temple, Amman, Madaba, Mt Nebo, Jabbok River, Jerash, take a jeep ride in Wadi Ram, have a meal in Bedouin tent, visit Aqaba at the Red Sea, etc.
Credit Transfer
Students who take the course(s) for credit will be able to transfer into their program at Denver Seminary 4 elective credits for the 3-week Israel portion and 2-credits for the 2-week Jordan portion. Important Dates
- Departure from USA to Tel Aviv on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 (arrive Tel Aviv May 18th)
- Departure from Israel to USA on Sunday, June 7th, 2026 (for Israel only)
- Departure from Israel to USA on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026 (Israel + 3-day Jordan extension)
- Jordan 2-week – return to USA on June 22st, 2026 (late flight on 22nd or early flight 23rd)
Payment Due Dates
- November 1st 2025 – Initial deposit (non-refundable) $400.00 (the first 35 individuals who sendin their $400.00 deposit will be on the official list of participants. Priority will be given to Denver Seminary students.
- January 15th 2026 – Second payment $1,500.00
- February 28th 2026 – Payment of balance. Registration remains open after February 28th if space still available.

Admission Requirements
- Course is offered for credit or audit. The cost is the same for credit or audit.
- Requirements FOR CREDIT PARTICIPANTS: (1) have minimum of 1 year of college OR currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program (minimum 2.0 GPA); (2) GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION – hiking in rugged terrain, a lot of walking, stair climbing.
- Requirements FOR NON-CREDIT PARTICIPANTS: (1) 18 years old (mature 13 years of age or older allowed when accompanied by parent); (2) if 50 years old or more, need doctor’s approval.
Partial Scholarships for Qualifying Denver Seminary Students
Scholarships for Denver Seminary students – qualifying full-time Denver Seminary students in MA-OT, MA-NT or MDiv (priority to MA-OT & MA-NT) will have the opportunity to apply for one of two partial scholarships, to be applied towards the cost of the trip. Application forms will be available in September 2025.
